You Have a Right to Safety

It’s not like I had keys to the door so I could go get help.
— Former Client

Prison guards are given power to keep inmates safe.  When they abuse that power, they violate our Constitutional Rights, often with serious injuries.

Once you’re inside, the facility is responsible for your safety.  When they fail, it is our job to hold them accountable.

Withholding medical treatment is one of the most common and most serious abuses.

If an inmate is injured or dies because of abuse and neglect within the prison system, The Government must be held responsible.

We bring claims for all violations including:

  • Assault

  • Sexual abuse

  • Withholding necessary medical care

  • Deprivation of civil rights

  • Negligent operation and supervision

  • Failed security

  • Bad personnel

If you have suffered at the hands of a correctional facility, contact us now.   The New Mexico Tort Claims Act, the Prison Litigation Reform Act, and other statutes substantially limit the time you have to report the incident and the steps you must take before you can bring your claim.  We will explain how the act applies to your particular case when you call.
